CATL Brings Energy Innovation to Africa: A 72㎡ Exhibition Stand at AEF 2026

From June 16 to 19, 2026, the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) opened its doors at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, bringing together global leaders, investors, and innovators shaping the future of energy across the African continent. Among the standout presences this year was CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited), one of the world’s leading battery technology companies, with a striking 72㎡ exhibition stand designed and built by INS Exhibition Shanghai.

Designing for a Global Stage

As CATL continues to expand its footprint in emerging energy markets, the brand needed an exhibition presence that could communicate both technological leadership and approachability — a space that would resonate with policymakers, investors, and engineers alike. Our design team approached the project with this balance in mind: clean architectural lines, intuitive visitor flow, and brand storytelling embedded into every structural element.

The result was a stand that didn’t just display products, but created an environment — one where visitors could engage with CATL’s vision for sustainable energy storage and its role in powering Africa’s evolving energy landscape.

As the exclusive Chinese member of Germany’s ATELIER DAMBÖCK GROUP since 2009, INS Exhibition Shanghai operates at the intersection of German engineering discipline and agile, on-the-ground execution. This project was no exception. From initial concept through to on-site construction in Cape Town, our team managed every phase of the process — logistics, materials, local compliance, and installation — to deliver a stand that met CATL’s exacting standards within a tight international timeline.
